We believe that the mission of East Calloway Elementary School is to function as a professional learning community. We envision a school that unites to achieve a common purpose and clear goals of improving student performance on a continuing basis. It is our commitment to provide every student with a safe, supportive learning environment. The staff implements learning experiences that meet each child's developmental needs while honoring student diversity.
About Us
“Achieve, Believe, Succeed" is the motto of East Calloway Elementary School. Student needs are met through quality instruction and support services delivered by the faculty and staff. In addition, East students enjoy the benefits of parental involvement as evidenced by classroom volunteer work and an active Parent Teacher Association ( PTA ).
East Calloway Elementary School is accredited, as are all Calloway County Schools, by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Visitors are always welcome at East. We invite you to call, take a tour and share our commitment!

Toshiba America Grant
East Calloway Elementary School received a Science and Math Improvement Grant from the Toshiba America Foundation in New York City in the amount of $750 for a project entitled "East's Fabulous Forecasters". The project was created by Mrs. Lisa Armstrong, a third grade teacher at East. Grant funds were used to purchase weather instruments and software which links East Calloway Elementary to the Weather Underground website. Students will be recording and analyzing daily weather observations and making their own weather predictions. |
